Let's imagine for a few minutes several situations that are very real and happen every day maybe even to you or someone you know.
You or any woman in your life is leaving work or the grocery store and have quite a ways to walk to get to the car. As she leaves the building she has this feeling that someone is watching her-maybe those small hairs on her neck are twitching.
She reaches inside her purse and finds her pepper spray. As she gets closer to the car she gets the spray out and has it in her hand. With twenty feet to go to her car she hears someone from behind ask "lady excuse me do you know the time?"
She turns around to see a guy with a hood over his head coming at her with a knife. She holds up the pepper spray and yells "back off you jerk" and gives a short spritz in the air to get his attention.
Several folks nearby hear her yell and look in her direction. The perp who counts on privacy and isolation now has an audience and a lady with a weapon. He wisely takes off.
You or anyone you know is out for a walk or jog or a bicycle ride. You are alone enjoying the great outdoors when out of nowhere a pack of three dogs comes running at you. What do you do?
If you are prepared to defend yourself and have been reading my safety tips you reach into your hip holster and withdraw your telescopic stun baton, turn it on and point it at the closest dog and touch his nose or anywhere for that matter. That gives the dog 800,000 good reasons to attack someone else.
Or instead of dogs it is one scary looking dude. You yell at the top of your lungs, pull out your stun baton so he can see it charging and ask if they want a bite of 800,000 volts.
These are three examples of how a life can be saved by using self defense products. There are of course many more examples to be discussed later. The point is it is a dangerous world out there and anymore you are the one that has to protect yourself and your family. DUH! Seems like an easy decision to me.
If you are in the market for a self defense product look for quality, effectiveness, and a biggie-LEGALITY. Stun guns are not legal in some states. Some cities and states have restrictions on pepper sprays. Check with your local police department first before you get one.
